When is the best time to take a Vivoo urine test?

There's no wrong time to take a Vivoo urine test. Vivoo is not a diagnostic tool, so you can test at any time of day. However, we recommend testing the second time you urinate after waking up. If you use Vivoo regularly, we suggest testing at the same time of day every week for the most consistent results and monitoring.

How often should I take a Vivoo urine test?

We recommend taking a Vivoo test once a week to monitor and track your wellness. However, you can use it more or less frequently depending on your preference. It's up to you!

Can I take a test while on my period?

Yes, you can take a test even if you're on your period. However, it's advisable to avoid the first urine stream as a high number of red blood cells may affect the urine analysis values. To do this, use the strip midway through the stream.

Can I use Vivoo during pregnancy?

Your body undergoes many changes during pregnancy to ensure the wellbeing of your baby. This process can cause changes in your body that alter certain wellness parameters, leading to a change in the usual value range. Although the Vivoo app may still provide personalized advice, we do not recommend using it to interpret test results during pregnancy.

I have a medical condition, can I still use Vivoo urine test?

Vivoo asks about your medical history of chronic conditions and provides personalized advice based on this information. However, Vivoo is not intended to diagnose diseases or other conditions. It must not be used to determine the health status of any of its users for the purpose of curing, mitigating, treating, or preventing any disease or any of its symptoms. Always consult your doctor for information regarding chronic conditions.

Are Vivoo urine tests eco-friendly?

We prioritize the environment in everything we do. All our products are made from recycled materials and are eco-friendly. Vivoo strips are specifically designed to be environmentally friendly, mostly using paper-based materials.

Can I use a strip more than once?

No, it is not possible to use the strips more than once. Our strips are designed for single use only.

I opened the strip packaging but didn’t urinate on it. Can I use it later?

Vivoo urine strips can degrade upon exposure to air, depending on the humidity and temperature of the environment. Therefore, it is recommended to use the strips within 5 minutes of opening the Vivoo strip packaging.

What is the expiration date of Vivoo strips?

Vivoo strips have an expiration date of 18 months from the production date. After the expiration date, the product should no longer be used as it may yield unreliable results. The expiration date is indicated on each Vivoo strip, which you can find on the back of the strip packaging.

How does Vivoo measure hydration?

Vivoo recognizes the importance of water for your body, which is why it provides insights into your hydration levels. Vivoo determines your hydration level based on the concentration of your urine. The urine specific gravity test compares the density of urine to the density of water, providing valuable insights into your hydration status.

How does Vivoo measure protein?

Our protein parameter measures urinary protein. Fluctuations in urinary protein levels are usually not a cause for concern, as they can be temporary due to physical activity or dehydration.

How does Vivoo measure oxidative stress?

Vivoo measures urinary MDA levels. Malondialdehyde (MDA) is a biomarker for lipid peroxidation that is generated during oxidative degradation of fat molecules. In other words, increased activity of free radicals is often associated with an overproduction of MDA.

I received the result "no ketones detected" in my urine. What does this mean?

Our ketone parameter has two different structures. One is designed for people following the ketogenic diet, while the other is for people not following it. Unlike those on the ketogenic diet, we do not expect ketones in the urine of people who do not follow a ketogenic diet. Therefore, "no ketones in urine" is scored as 10 for these users. I did not receive any data on my sodium result. What does this mean?

Your sodium results can be affected by the physical conditions in which you store your test strips, such as humidity, sunlight, or temperature. It is required to store your test strips in an environment with temperatures between 2-30 degrees Celsius.
